Chinese tech company, Vivo has added a new smartphone to its Y-series called the Vivo Y33s is a new 5G. The Y33s 5G is expected to arrive in other markets outside China as well. There is no word from Vivo regarding the launch of the new budget 5G smartphone outside China at the moment. It comes in three colour options – Snow Dawn, Black, and Nebula Blue.
The Vivo Y33s 5G comes with a polycarbonate back and a plastic frame. It has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD panel at the front with a water-drop notch at the top for the front camera. The HD+ screen is surrounded by fairly thin bezels, except for the thick chin. Vivo has launched the phone with a 60Hz refresh rate support. It runs Android 12 out of the box with a layer of Vivo’s Origin Ocean skin on top. The phone has a microSD card for storage expansion.
On the back, the Vivo Y33s 5G has a dual-camera setup. The smartphone has a 13MP main camera sensor and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies and video calls, users get an 8MP front camera. There is a flat frame that houses the fingerprint scanner on the right side. The volume keys are also located above the power button on the right.
The Vivo Y33s 5G draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC under the hood. It has up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Vivo has packed a 5000 mAh battery in the 5G smartphone. It comes with support for 18W fast charging via a USB Type-C cable. Other specifications include 5G, 4G VoLTE, GPS, dual SIM support, 5.0GHz WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, a 3.5mm audio jack, etc.
The Vivo Y33s 5G arrives in as many as three storage options with 128GB storage as standard. The base model has 4GB of RAM and is priced at CNY 1299 (roughly Rs 15,500). There is also a 6GB RAM option with 128GB of internal storage. This model is priced at CNY 1399 (roughly Rs 16,700). The highest storage option has 8GB of RAM and also comes with 128GB of internal storage.
