Honor Play 30 5G smartphone was announced in India as the new budget 5G device from the Chinese Tech Company. As for the key highlights, the new handset comes with an iPhone-like rear shell design, a waterdrop notch display, Qualcomm’s entry-level 5G chipset, a solo rear camera, a big battery, and more.
Honor Play 30 5G bears a 6.5 inches LCD display with an HD+ resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 269ppi pixel density, and 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is packed with a Snapdragon 480 Plus 5G processor that comes coupled with Adreno 619 GPU. It is accompanied by 4GB/8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be extended via a microSD card slot.
Coming to optics, the Honor Play 30 5G features a 13-megapixel solo rear camera along with an LED flash placed diagonally to the lens. For selfies and video calls, the handset sports a 5-megapixel front-facing camera under the waterdrop notch. The smartphone is backed by a 5000mah battery and 10W charging support.
On the front software, the Honor Play 30 5G comes running on Android 11 OS out of the box with Magic UI 5.0 skin on top. For connectivity options, the smartphone includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of dimensions, the handset measures 163.66 x 75.13 x 8.68mm and weighs 194 grams.
For pricing and availability, the Honor Play 30 5G comes in two configurations: 4GB + 128GB priced at 1,099 yuan and 8GB + 128GB priced at 1,399 yuan. The smartphone comes in four color options namely Aurora Blue, Magic Night Black, Dawn Gold, and Titanium Silver. It is currently available for purchase in China and there are no words regarding its availability outside China.
