GOT7 member and soloist JAY B has confirmed that he is officially leaving his agency, H1GHR MUSIC. The announcement was made recently and even the company released a statement regarding it. JAY B’s contract with H1GHR MUSIC has expired and there has been no renewal of it.

On July 25, the agency took to its official social media accounts to share the news stating that both JAY B and Sik-K have reached the end of their contracts and will be departing from the agency. “Our contracts with Sik-K and JAY B have expired and we have agreed that it is best to continue their careers on a different path.

We will always support them as family forever,” read H1GHR MUSIC’s post on both Twitter and Instagram. JAY B first signed a contract and joined H1GHR MUSIC back in May 2021. This was after GOT7’s seven-year contract with JYP Entertainment, where they first debuted, ended.

All the members decided not to renew their contracts with JYP and instead chose different agencies for their solo careers.  The band is still active and even released their much-awaited self-titled EP, earlier this year. With the single Switch It Up, JAY B made his solo debut under the management of H1GHR MUSIC.

His debut EP, SOMO: FUME, later came out in August 2021. He even released his first live extended play as Def., titled, Love. While his departure from one agency was confirmed, JAY B has already signed with another one. Soon after, it was shared that the singer has now joined a new label, CDNZA Records.

The news was confirmed by the label on their Instagram account. Meanwhile, JAY B has featured in H1GHR Music’s collaborative agency single, BRB which also includes Jay Park, Cha Cha Malone, Sik-K, pH-1, Groovy Room, HAON, BIG Naughty, TRADE L, and Park Hyun Jin. The song will be out on July 27.
