NCT 127 will resume their world tour which was delayed due to COVID-19. They will start the tour by holding a concert around Japan. Titled Neo City - The Link, NCT 127 will hold five concerts in Japan. They will kick off concerts at Vantelin Dome Nagoya on May 22, followed by Tokyo Dome on May 28 and 29, and Kyocera Dome Osaka on June 25 and 26, 2022.

This concert tour will be NCT 127's first dome tour in their career. Neo City - The Link is also the first touring Japan in three years. In the release received by detik.com, NCT 127 did not rule out the possibility to add countries to its world tour.

However, it is still unclear whether Indonesia is included in it. Previously, Neo City - The Link had already been held at Gocheok Sky Dome, Seoul from 17 to 19 December 2021. The concert was successfully held face to face and online through the Beyond LIVE platform.

This is a continuation of their NEO CITY: The Origin tour which kicked off in 2019 in Seoul. At that time, the concert was closed in Singapore in the same year. Meanwhile, NCT 127 last released an album in October 2021 through a repackaged album titled Favorite after the success of the Sticker album.

There are 14 songs in the album with different colors. NCT 127 managed to sell 1 million album copies during the pre-order period, and sold 1.1 million copies in the week after its release. On November 3, 2021, Sticker and Favorite sold 3.58 million copies, making the album the highest-selling SM Entertainment artist album.
