JYP Entertainment has again reported that one of its artists has contracted the COVID-19 virus. Through an official statement, they said TWICE's Jihyo had just tested positive. In a statement released through the official JYP website, Jihyo tested positive for COVID-19 after undergoing an antigen test today, August 24, 2022.
Currently, Jihyo is immediately undergoing self-quarantine. "We regret to report that TWICE's Jihyo tested positive for COVID-19. He underwent an antigen test on August 24, 2022," said JYP Entertainment. "Jihyo initially tested positive after undergoing a self-test at 10.30 am South Korean time.
He is currently undergoing self-quarantine and following the advice of the medical authorities," he continued. So, Jihyo had to be absent from a number of activities. Including TWICE's comeback through the album BETWEEN 1&2 which was supposed to be held on August 26, 2022.
"We sincerely apologize to fans for causing concern with this news," wrote JYP Entertainment. "We will prioritize the health of our artist and do our best so that Jihyo can get well soon," he concluded. Meanwhile, TWICE has made fans curious about their comeback through the mini album BETWEEN 1&2.
They have released a number of teasers ahead of their comeback, including the MV teaser for the title track to be promoted, Talk that Talk. The album BETWEEN 1&2 and MV Talk that Talk will be released at the same time on August 26, 2022 at 11.00 WIB.
