Lee Chan-hyuk who is a member of the South Korean music duo Akdong Musician (AKMU) , will make his first debut as a solo singer this month. Previously, the YG Entertainment agency where AKMU was sheltered confirmed the plans of one of the duo members to release their first solo album.
The agency assured Chan-hyuk's fans that the new album will capture the philosophical thoughts of the singer, composer, and producer through bold experiments to produce a unique product. Through YG Entertainment's announcement on its website, Chan-hyuk's debut album is known to be titled Error and will be released on October 17.
Error marks Chan-hyuk's first journey as a soloist since he first debuted with the duo group AKMU in 2014. " This will be an album where Chan-hyuk's philosophy and daring challenges will create perfect harmony ," his agency said as quoted by The Korea Times. " Please look forward to his unique, unrivaled imagination ," said a representative from YG Entertainment.
Along with the announcement, Chan-hyuk uploaded a photo on his Instagram on Wednesday October 5, 2022 showing himself vaguely distorted by a slightly blurry film filter. The poster also lists the release date of Error on October 17, 2022 at 18:00 South Korean time. Chan-hyuk also released a 21-second visual film for his first solo album on Instagram and AKMU's YouTube channel on Thursday October 6, 2022.
Until now, there is still no further information regarding the list of songs in the album Error. The record label is expected to release the list in the near future ahead of the release of Error. Lee Chan-hyuk plunged into the world of Korean entertainment with his sister Lee Soo-hyun by forming the duo AKMU. They were originally known for being the second winner in the k-pop star series. AKMU launched its debut album titled Play in 2014. Until now, AKMU has had six albums.
Meanwhile, Lee Soo-hyun himself has made his solo debut in 2020 by releasing a single titled Alien. Chan-hyuk is known as a musician who is a genius in producing works thanks to his extraordinary talent. Not surprisingly, he is often known to contribute lyrics to several other artists' singles, such as IU's Ah Puh and Treasure's Slowmotion.
