Lee Ji Han died after being a victim of the Itaewon Halloween tragedy. Until now, the death toll has reached 156 people. Before he died, Lee Ji Han was trusted to star in the latest Korean drama from MBC titled The Season of Kkokdu. The Produce 101 Season 2 contestant has reportedly been filming his part in September 2022.
Now, the production team says filming for The Season of Kkokdu has been temporarily suspended to honor the victims of the Itaewon Halloween tragedy, including Lee Ji Han. Filming will continue if a new schedule has been determined. The Season of Kkokdu is a fantasy romance drama about a life-taking angel named Kkokdu.
It comes down to earth to punish mankind once every 99 years. One day, Kkokdu meets Han Gye Jeol, a doctor with mysterious abilities. Kkokdu then worked as a visiting doctor. Kkokdu is played by actor Kim Jung Hyun. Meanwhile, Han Gye Jeol is played by Im Soo Hyang.
Lee Ji Han stars as Jung Yi Deun who is Han Gye Jeol's ex-girlfriend. The deceased left a number of parts that have not been taken, but there is still no certainty whether his figure will be replaced or not. The production team plans to visit Lee Ji Han's residence.
If nothing changes, The Season of Kkokdu is scheduled to air in 2023. Meanwhile, it is known that South Korea is currently in mourning over the Itaewon Halloween tragedy until November 5, 2022. A mourning altar was opened in the city center, allowing the public to offer condolences to the victims.
