NCT 127 South Korean boy group member, Doyoung, will lend his golden voice to fill in the original soundtrack of a Japanese drama , titled 'Hoshi Furu Yoru Ni (On A Starry Night)'. Quoting from Naver on Sunday January 8, 2023, 'Hoshi Furu Yoru Ni (On A Starry Night)' will premiere on January 17, 2023.

The drama features some of the best performers from Japan, including Yuriko Yoshitaka, Takumi Kitamura, as well as the master of romance drama, screenwriter Shizuka Oishi. Apart from being a member of the popular boy group NCT 127, Doyoung was chosen to fill in the drama's original soundtrack because of his good Japanese language skills.

Doyoung will perform a song called 'Cry'. This song has a soothing piano accompaniment and beautiful string harmonization from violin, viola, and cello. The song belongs to the ballad genre, in which Doyoung's strong and sentimental vocal will be able to convey the deep feelings in the lyrics of the song.

The lyrics of the song 'Cry' itself tell about the feeling when you are attracted to someone. Doyoung said that he felt touched by this song 'Cry'. He said, "One of the lyrics says 'Smiling through tears' like a situation that I personally can understand. Therefore, this is a love song that I want to convey to everyone."

The main vocalist of the boy group NCT 127 continued, "As for my vocals, I have also worked very hard to express feelings in the song." Doyoung worked hard on his good Japanese articulation, and had long recording sessions, and kept singing over and over again until he got satisfactory results. "I hope this song can be a comforting song for everyone once a week.

I will also definitely watch the drama 'Hoshi Furu Yoru Ni (On A Starry Night)'," Doyoung said enthusiastically. Meanwhile, Doyoung is currently busy with his 2nd world tour concert activities with NCT 127 'Neo City: The Link' in the United States and Latin America. NCT 127 will kick off the 'Neo City: The Link' concert in Chicago on January 9, 2023 local time.
