2PM's Taecyeon is ready to expand into Hollywood. He recently joined one of the United States agencies. This news was delivered directly by Taecyeon's agency in Korea, 51K. The actor and idol has just joined an agency from the United States, WME (William Morris Endeavor). It is known, a number of Hollywood actors and directors joined the agency.
Among them are directors Quentin Tarantino, Ridley Scott, Matthew McConaughey, Tom Holland, to Michael B. Jordan. "We are happy to announce Taecyeon, who has expanded his wings in the world of acting through a number of projects such as Vincenzo, Hansan: Rising Dragon, Blind, and many others, has joined the WME agency, one of the best agencies in the United States," said 51K.
"We hope that fans will continue to provide support for Taecyeon's activities in the future," he continued. Taecyeon also released a personal statement after officially joining WME. He admitted that he was ready to take on new challenges after joining the United States agency. "I am very happy and excited to be able to take on new challenges.
I talk a lot with local agencies. Even though it will be difficult to take on new challenges in an unfamiliar environment, I think this is a good opportunity to learn a lot," Taecyeon explained. "I will work hard to show a different side of me, as well as Ok Taecyeon's new charm on a wider stage," he concluded.
Taecyeon is not the only artist from South Korea under the auspices of the WME agency. Directors Bong Joon Ho and Bae Doona also joined the agency. Meanwhile, Taecyeon is ready to return to the small screen through the drama My Heart Is Beating. The Korean drama which tells the story of a vampire is planned to be aired in the second half of 2023.
