NCT's Doyoung will be taking on a new drama project titled Dear X Who Doesn't Love Me. On Monday, February 21, 2022, SM Entertainment's agency announced the news. TVING also uploaded a photo of Doyoung and confirmed the news.
Dear X Who Doesn't Love Me tells the story of a magical book that can make anyone fall in love with another person for one month. Doyoung will play the role of Jung Shi Ho, a college student who is traumatized by an incident in his school days.
Jung Shi Ho is good friends with Seo Hee so, played by Han Ji Hyo. Jung Shi Ho knows the secret of the magical book that Seo Hee so has. One day, Seo Hee so wants to use the book to realize her love. It worries Jung Shi Ho.
Doyoung said she was happy to get the opportunity to act and showcase her talent to fans. "I'm so grateful for this valuable acting opportunity. For my fans and those who believe in me, I will do my best so that I can show good things," Doyoung said. This is not the first time for the vocalist to act.
Previously, she played the lead role in Midnight Cafe 3: The Curious Stalker. In addition, Doyoung also acted through the musical Marie Antoinette. The drama Dear X Who Doesn't Love Me will be released starting June 2022 via streaming on Viu.
