NewJeans made history again through their achievements on the Billboard chart. They are now the fastest K-Pop group to have three different songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in their one-year career. NewJeans' achievement this time follows their previous achievement on Billboard.
Earlier this year, NewJeans became the fastest K-Pop group to record two different songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This chart is Billboard's weekly chart of the most popular songs in the United States. At that time the songs OMG and Ditto became songs that immediately entered the chart even though they had not even debuted a year yet.
Now in this latest achievement, NewJeans added the song Super Shy to the Billboard version of the most popular songs in the United States. Super Shy has been on the Billboard Hot 100 chart since July 18, 2023. They debuted at number 66 for the week making this their highest-charting song on the Billboard Hot 100.
OMG previously only peaked at number 74 and Ditto at 84 in February 2023. Super Shy not only entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This song also ranked high on the Billboard Global 200 chart, Global Excl. US, and World Digital Songs. On all three charts, the song Super Shy took second place.
From the album Get Up, the song New Jeans also occupies the 5th position on the World Digital Song Sales chart. The same song took 19th place on the Global Excl. US and position 32 on the Global 200. Still on Billboard as well, NewJeans now occupies the 47th position for Billboard's Artist 100.
NewJeans continued their series of comebacks by releasing the 'ETA' MV and Cool With You (in two versions Side A and Side B). The MV Cool With You features Hong Kong actor Tony Leung. Tony Leung only appears for about 15 seconds throughout the 4 minute 16 second MV Side B. The MV also stars Squid Game actress Jung Hoyeon.
