Super Junior's Kyuhyun was eyed by Yoo Jae Suk's management, Antenna, to be invited to join them. This follows news of Kyuhyun's decision not to renew his contract with SM Entertainment. Kyuhyun's career at SM Entertainment began with his debut with Super Junior in 2006. Until now, he has had more than 17 years of contract with the management.
Kyuhyun chose not to renew his exclusive contract with SM. But that doesn't mean Kyuhyun left Super Junior. He will remain part of the group and Super Junior will remain active under SM Entertainment. The other Super Junior members except Donghae and Eunhyuk chose to renew the contract.
The Antenna party itself confirmed that they were looking at Kyuhyun to be the artist. However, until now no decision has been taken. "Kyuhyun is currently in the process of discussing signing an exclusive contract with us and so far it has been positive. However, no decision has been made yet," said Antenna's representative, quoted from Newsen.
If Kyuhyun and Antenna agree to collaborate on an exclusive contract, Kyuhyun will be on the same management team as Yoo Jae Suk and other famous South Korean soloists. Currently Antenna is home to soloists Jung Seung Hwan, Sam Kim, Mijoo ex-LOVELYZ, to Lee Hyori. Antenna is a management company founded by musician Yoo Hee Yeol.
Kyuhyun's joining with Antenna could open up great opportunities for collaboration between the two as musicians whose careers and work in South Korea have been considered. Besides Kyuhyun, Donghae and Eunhyuk also chose not to renew their contract with SM. The two Super Junior members plan to form their own management.
