Park Seo Joon is confirmed to star in an upcoming rom-com drama. On Monday January 6, 2025, the JTBC drama titled Waiting for Gyeongdo, confirmed that Park Seo Joon was selected as one of its cast members. The drama Waiting for Gyeongdo tells the story of a pair of ex-lovers, Lee Gyeong Do and Seo Ji Woo.
They once fell in love with each other in their 20s. The two then meet again at an unexpected time in their lives, leading to a series of events filled with romance and humor. In the drama, Park Seo Joon will play Lee Gyeong Do, an entertainment reporter for Dongwoon Ilbo.
He is a sociable office worker with a down-to-earth personality. Lee Gyeong Do's life turns upside down when he meets and reconnects with Seo Ji Woo, who he once had a passionate relationship with. They meet again after Seo Ji Woo's husband is involved in an affair scandal.
This drama explores their complex love story. Highlighting the present day story and flashbacks to their passionate and on-again, off-again college days. Waiting for Gyeongdo will be directed by Lim Hyun Wook who previously worked on King The Land, Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency , and Life.
He will collaborate with writer Yoo Young Ah who previously wrote the scripts for Thirty Nine and Divorce Attorney Shin. Meanwhile, actress Won Ji An is also being eyed to star in the drama Waiting for Gyeongdo. She is considering the offer.
