The South Korean boy group THE BOYZ has made a new achievement. They were selected as promotional ambassadors for the Korean Culture and Information Service (KOCIS) 2023. This was confirmed directly by IST Entertainment as THE BOYZ's agency.

"THE BOYZ have been appointed as Ambassadors of Korean Culture and Information Services (KOCIS) 2023, and after the appointment ceremony, they will become the new faces to promote Korea," said IST Entertainment as quoted from Koreaboo on Wednesday 5, 2023.

The choice of THE BOYZ as the promotional ambassador for KOCIS 2023 is a matter of pride and great achievement for the K-Pop group which debuted in 2017.  "It is an honor to be chosen as ambassador. Korean-themed content has become a world phenomenon. We will continue to work hard as ambassadors to promote Korea's proud culture overseas," said THE BOYZ.

Meanwhile, THE BOYZ is a boy group formed by IST Entertainment which consists of 11 members, namely Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Ju Haknyeon, Sunwoo and Eric. In December 2017, THE BOYZ debuted through the mini album "The First".

As an idol group, THE BOYZ won various awards, including the "Rookie Award" at the Korea Brand Awards in July 2018, "Rookie Award" at the Soribada Best K-Music Awards in August 2018, "Best New Male Artist Award" at Melon Music Award 2018, and "Artist of the Year" in The Fact Music Awards in October 2021.

Meanwhile, the Korean Culture and Information Service (KOCIS) was first launched in 1971 as an extension of the South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. KOCIS serves as a bridge for promoting South Korea abroad as well as for international cultural exchange. In its promotional efforts, KOCIS often organizes various art shows, exhibitions, music festivals and film festivals.

Going forward, THE BOYZ plans to participate in various KOCIS activities to promote Korean culture and Hallyu content, starting with the promotion of the 2023 International Content Contest as well as the Talk Talk Korea 2023 event organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korea. Congratulations again to THE BOYZ!
