Happy news for Jang Ki Yong fans. The actor will star in the latest Korean drama after a two-year hiatus. As is known, Jang Ki Yong last starred in the Korean drama Now We're Breaking Up in 2021. Even during its broadcast, his co-star Song Hye Kyo was already serving as a soldier.
Jang Ki Yong finally completed his mandatory military service in February this year. He is busy again with filming the Korean drama Although I Am Not A Hero which is scheduled to air in 2024 on JTBC. The handsome actor was paired with Chun Woo Hee, who starred in the Korean dramas Be Melodramatic and Delightfully Deceitful. The Korean drama Although I Am Not A Hero follows the story of a man who was born with superpowers and lost his abilities after experiencing depression.
Jang Ki Yong plays Bok Gwi Joo who inherits super powers from his family. He can travel back in time but only the happy moments of his life. Bok Gwi Joo also can't change the past, so he can only remember happy moments. When depression hit, he began to lose his superpowers.
Not only Bok Gwi Joo, his family members also lost their superpowers due to mental disorders such as insomnia, bulimia and smartphone addiction. Until finally a mysterious woman appeared before the Bok Gwi Joo family. Although it was unintentional, Do Da He (played by Chun Woo Hee) ended up living with Bok Gwi Joo's family.
