On Saturday August 26, 2023, South Korean actor, Kim Woo Bin posted a photo taken from the airplane window. Along with this photo, the actor shared a meaningful message dedicated to the owner of one of his fan sites, Ji Won, who recently passed away.
In the letter written to Ji Won, Kim Woo Bin revealed that he had just attended her funeral, and on the flight home, he understood the effort Ji Won was making to support his activities. “Ji Won, who is always bright and cheerful. When I said my last goodbye to the road you've always walked, I realized that it really was a long and arduous journey.
Only now do I understand,” wrote Kim Woo Bin as quoted from KBIZoom on Sunday August 27, 2023. He continued, “Just a moment ago, you asked how I was doing with a smile. Your face comes to my mind, and it makes my heart ache so much. Ji Won, I won't take this as a farewell. Let's live days filled with laughter, health and happiness there.
Then, let's take lots of photos together and share the stories we won't be able to finish when we meet again." Furthermore, in his letter, Kim Woo Bin promised to work harder for the new project that Jiwon had been waiting for. He also thanked him for being his loyal fan. Finally, Kim Woo Bin said goodbye to the fan.
According to the fan's sibling, Kim Woo Bin not only sent a wreath to the funeral home, but also personally paid his respects. The younger brother of Kim Woo Bin's fan said, “Just receiving the bouquets you sent is already a great source of strength, but having you come directly to our family is a great comfort.”
The younger brother also shared that his older brother (Ji Won) loved Kim Woo Bin very much, and thanked the actor for coming to the funeral despite his busy schedule. He also prayed that Kim Woo Bin would always be healthy and successful in each of his projects.
