Unpleasant news came from one of the 'Revenant' actor namely, Oh Jung Se, who reportedly confirmed positive for Covid-19 on Sunday July 30, 2023. This news came out to the public after Prain TPC as Oh Jung Se's agency announced the postponement of the 46-year-old star's schedule.
As quoted from Soompi on July 30, 2023, the man who co-starred in the drama Little Women had to postpone the Revenant interview schedule which had been planned for Monday, July 31, 2023 due to an illness he was currently suffering from. "Oh Jung Se's COVID-19 test came out positive again today," the agency wrote as reported by Soompi.
"We have postponed his post-final interview (for 'Revenant'). We are currently in the process of adjusting his future schedule," he continued. With this news, the agency as well as Oh Jung Se confirmed to reschedule the interview after the final of Revenant, right after the actor has fully recovered.
Revenant itself is the newest drama from Oh Jung Se, which just reached the final episode on Friday, July 29, 2023. This Korean horror drama tells the story of a girl named Gu San Yeong (Kim Tae Ri) who is possessed by a demon in her body.
Oh Jung Se himself plays the role of Yeom Hae Sang who will help San Yeong to release the power of the evil spirit that has been lodged in his body for a long time. Revenant also marks the comeback of the young actress Kim Tae Ri who took the main role in the 12-episode drama.
Since its broadcast last June, Revenant has earned the highest viewership rating of 11.3 percent. Apart from Oh Jung Se and Kim Tae Ri, Revenant also stars a number of big names, such as Hong Kyung, Kim Hae Sook, Lee Gyu Heo, Lee Jae Won, and several other names.
Oh Jung Se has long been known in the world of South Korean cinema after starting his career through theatre. He has played in many big dramas, including Jirisan, It's Okay to Not Be Okay, Little Women, Touch Your Heart, and is rumored to be starring in Sweet Home 2.
