There are rumors circulating that BLACKPINK's Lisa rejected YG Entertainment's contract offer worth 50 billion won. This is the second time that BLACKPINK's Lisa is reportedly reluctant to extend her contract. BLACKPINK's Lisa and her fellow member debuted in 2016.

Like K-Pop groups in general, BLACKPINK and YG Entertainment's collaboration contract lasts for 7 years. This year, on August 8th to be precise, BLACKPINK Lisa celebrated her 7th debut with Jennie, Jisoo, and Rose. However, until now there has been no clarity on the contracts of the four BLACKPINK member. This caused unrest among fans.

Moreover, only BLACKPINK's Lisa reportedly rejected the offer to extend her contract with the agency that made her name famous. On the other hand, BLACKPINK will close the 'BORN PINK' world tour which started in October 2022. There have been 66 performances performed by Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo, and Rose in various parts of the world.

The news about BLACKPINK's Lisa not renewing her contract was heard again ahead of their final concert in their world tour series. The four BLACKPINK members will officially close the 'BORN PINK' world tour at Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome with a two-day concert on September 16 and 17, 2023.

Previously on Tuesday July 11, 2023, a source from a Chinese agency reported to Korean media Munhwa Ilbo that BLACKPINK's Lisa had not extended her contract with the agency. This is because the rapper from the BLACKPINK group is being targeted to star in a Chinese television show. It's just that YG Entertainment cannot confirm whether Lisa will appear.

"We have been working with Lisa and YG Entertainment to see if she can appear on our show, but they have told us that it is difficult to discuss schedules after August due to uncertainty with contract renewal," explained a source from the Chinese agency. Following reports that shocked fans, YG Entertainment spoke out.

Although they did not explain BLACKPINK's Lisa contract renewal, YG Entertainment emphasized that the request to appear on Chinese television shows had nothing to do with her contract. "It has nothing to do with the contract. It's because of BLACKPINK's tour and personal schedule," stressed YG Entertainment.

On Thursday September 14, 2023, BLACKPINK's Lisa and YG Entertainment's contract became a topic of discussion again. As reported by Star News Korea, the BLACKPINK member from Thailand refused to extend their contract with YG Entertainment which was worth 50 billion won.
