Happy news comes from Jay Chang, a Boys Planet contestant who is reported to have signed an exclusive contract with the FM Entertainment agency. This news was announced directly by FM Entertainment on Monday September 18, 2023. Not only that, Jay Chang is also planning to debut a solo album next October.
"Jay Chang, who signed an exclusive contract with the company, will release his official debut album in October," wrote FM Entertainment, reported by Naver. "We plan to provide full support so that Jay can show his potential and versatile talent," he continued.
Even though there is no official schedule regarding his solo debut, Jay Chang is said to have contributed a lot to the preparation of the album so fans are asked to show their enthusiasm and love ahead of the musician's debut. "Because this is his debut album, he has participated in many aspects of production.
This is an album he prepared with hard work, so please show a lot of anticipation and interest," concluded the agency. Jay Chang first became known to the public as an American trainee for the Mnet survival program Boys Planet who managed to attract great attention from the audience with his extraordinary vocal abilities.
This young man, born in 2001, is also loved for his undoubted visuals and charm. Thanks to his brilliant talent, Jay Chang managed to come out in 10th place in the Boys Planet final. Jay Chang started his career as a soloist by releasing his debut song entitled "Is You" on November 23 2020.
Apart from Boys Planet, this Filipino-American youth also previously joined the survival show Under Nineteen in 2018. Unfortunately, in the sixth episode which aired on December 8, Jay was eliminated in the first elimination round and was ranked 18th out of -19 on the vocal team.
