The film '47 Meters Down' is back at Trans TV Cinema. This thriller genre film will be broadcast on Saturday November 11, 2023, at 23.30 WIB. With a duration of 89 minutes, 47 Meters Down tells the story of a brother and sister's holiday which ends in a nightmare after being trapped in the middle of an ocean full of sharks.
This film was directed by Johannes Roberts, who previously directed 'Dark Hunters' (2004) and 'Storage 24' (2012). He also wrote the script for this film with Ernest Riera. The main stars are Mandy Moore and Claire Holt. The film 47 Meters Down is also supported by Chris Johnson, Yani Gellman, Santiago Segura and Matthew Modine.
The story revolves around Lisa (Mandy Moore) and her sister, Kate (Claire Holt), going on holiday to Mexico. Kate accompanies Lisa who has just broken up with her boyfriend. The two of them decided to have a thrilling experience together, namely watching sharks from a diving cage in one of the waters in Mexico.
On the day they tried this experience, Lisa and Kate did not know that the cable from their cage that would protect them in the water was worn out. In the middle of watching the shark's action, the rope of the cage broke. Both of them are in a life and death battle.
Help from ships on the surface was not easy to reach both of them. The sharks began taking the lives of one of the crew members who was trying to save them. Kate and Lisa are also pressed for time because both of them have run out of oxygen.
The crew tried to lower the air tank. One of the tanks will bring hallucinations to the wearer. Did they succeed in surviving the ferocity of these sharks? IMDb reports that Mandy Moore and Claire Holt underwent special scuba diving training to prepare for their roles.
When shooting scenes underwater, the production team used pieces of broccoli to create organisms. With a low production cost of US$ 5.3 million, this film was considered a commercial success.
