The two of them became the last BTS members to enter the military one day after RM and V. Previously, the four of them even held a live broadcast together on Weverse as a form of farewell to fans. The BTS members believe that their decision to enlist early can make them return as BTS in their entirety in a quicker time too.

Exactly a week after the release of his solo album, the musician released another song entitled "Set Me Free Pt. 2" which contains the desire to move forward freely without the pain and sadness that weighs him down. After Jimin, the BTS solo project was continued by Suga, V, and Jungkook with their respective solo albums before finally the BTS members officially entered military service.
