Young actor Hwang Min-hyun is ready to carry out military service on March 21, 2024. The actor in the drama My Lovely Liar will carry out his duties as a public service worker after going through a series of basic training.
PLEDIS Entertainment as the agency that oversees the 28 year old actor announced Hwang Min-hyun's mandatory military departure schedule via Weverse on Thursday February 29, 2024. "Our artist Hwang Min-hyun is scheduled to start military service on March 21," wrote the agency.
In its statement, the agency also added that there would be no official events when the actor entered the training center on March 21, 2024, thus asking fans not to go to the military service location. The news regarding Hwang Min-hyun's military service has succeeded in surprising fans.
The reason is, this news came after Hwang Min-hyun announced his soloist comeback on Wednesday February 28, 2024 KST time. PLEDIS Entertainment uploaded a teaser poster for Hwang Min-hyun's latest digital song entitled "Lullaby".
The poster shows a calm dawn at a bus stop with a blur effect. The poster also states the release date of the song which will be launched on March 13, 2024 at 18.00 KST or 16.00 WIB. Hwang Min-hyun's latest comeback song seems to be here as a farewell song for fans before he carries out military service.
Hwang Min-hyun was first known as a member of the group NU'EST which debuted in 2012. He acted as the main vocalist before NU'EST finally decided to disband on March 14, 2022. He also debuted in the group WANNA ONE in 2017, which is a group formed by CJ E&M through the survival show Produce 101 Season 2.
Hwang Min-hyun then spread his wings in the world of drama by starring in a number of hit dramas, starting from Live On, Alchemy of Souls, to playing the main character in the drama My Lovely Liar.
In the drama, which will air in 2023, Hwang Min-hyun is paired with actress Kim So-hyun. On the other hand, Hwang Min-hyun released his first mini album entitled Truth or Lie which was released in February 2023. The album contains six new songs from various genres.
