NCT's Taeyong has just officially made a comeback with his second mini album entitled 'TAP' on February 26, 2024. Simultaneously, the music video for the main song 'TAP' has also been released on the SMTOWN YouTube channel. The music video for the title song 'TAP' was completely filmed in Tokyo, Japan . 

As well as taking inspiration from the popular Japanese reality show program entitled 'Old Enough' or 'My First Errand'. In the video clip, Taeyong is seen waking up in a traditional Japanese-style house, then going on a mission to get traditional Japanese food, Dango . 

Quoting from Allkpop on Thursday February 29, 2024, Taeyong was also seen visiting various locations in Tokyo, including public baths, cafes and many more. In one scene, Taeyong is also seen dancing in front of a large painting depicting Mount Fuji. Not to forget, captions in Japanese and Korean letters also adorn the music video for the song 'TAP'.

The concept and strong Japanese atmosphere actually invited criticism from a number of Korean netizens. They did not hesitate to question whether the idol was pro-Japan. Below are some comments from netizens. “ Is he pro-Japan? "Why doesn't he just go to Japan ," commented one netizen. “ Can he call himself a South Korean citizen? said another netizen. 

“ Even his fans can't defend him on this one. "They need to cancel the MV broadcast and never mention it again ," another netizen fumed. “ Everything in this MV is about Japan. "It feels like watching an MV from a J-Pop idol ," admitted one netizen. “ Releasing the MV for this song before March 1st. Meanwhile, the main song 'TAP' from Taeyong's second mini album with the same title is a hip hop genre song with a simple musical beat and a catchy rap part. The Japanese dance crew, Tsubakill, who previously appeared on the Mnet program 'Street Woman Fighter 2' also appeared in the music video.
