The latest Korean drama by MBC entitled ' Wonderful World ' recently held a press conference at the MBC Golden Mouth Hall in Sangam, Seoul. The director and a number of actors were seen attending the event, including Kim Nam Joo and Cha Eun Woo.
'Wonderful World' is a mystery thriller drama that centers on a mother named Eun Soo Hyun (Kim Nam Joo), who lost her son due to a sadistic murder. He tries to dig up the secret behind the murder and take revenge against the perpetrator.
This drama was directed by director Lee Seung Young, who previously successfully worked on the dramas 'The Missing', 'Voice 2', 'Tracer', and many more. The director also revealed his reasons when asked why he chose Cha Eun Woo and Kim Nam Joo as the main actors.
“There's no particular reason for that. I believe that they are the actors who best suit the role. "Cha Eun Woo looks exactly like I imagined his character in the script," said director Lee Seung Young as quoted from KBIZoom on February 29, 2024.
In 'Wonderful World', Cha Eun Woo plays Kwon Sun Yool, a mysterious young man who grew up in a rich family, but lived a difficult life after losing his parents. Cha Eun Woo tries to create a new image by showing his rough side. “I want to reveal Kwon Sun Yool's process of overcoming his pain and wounds.
"As the episode continues, various secrets will be revealed like Pandora's box," said Cha Eun Woo. Meanwhile, the drama 'Wonderful World' attracted attention because it marked the return of “drama queen” Kim Nam Joo to the small screen after six years.
“I feel very nervous. "This drama is very interesting and I think I have created a good project with all the actors and staff," said Kim Nam Joo. The actress continued, “I chose this work because I wanted to express the feelings and sadness of a mother who lost her child unfairly on behalf of all mothers in this world.”
When asked about the collaboration between the two, Kim Nam Joo, Cha Eun Woo confidently gave a score of 100 points out of 100, while Kim Nam Joo gave 110 points out of 100. The drama 'Wonderful World' will premiere starting March 1, 2024, every Friday and Saturday at 21.50 KST. Don't miss it!
