Suicide Squad returns with an anime series format that is ready to shake up the DC world. HBO GO announced that the anti-hero team anime series Suicide Squad Isekai will be available on the streaming platform starting June 27, 2024.

Adapted from the Collider page on Wednesday June 12, 2024, the first three episodes will be ready to air on June 27, 2024, while the next episodes will air every Thursday. The final episode of this series is scheduled to air on August 15, 2024.

Suicide Squad Isekai tells the adventures of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark who are involved in a very dangerous mission. With a time bomb hanging around their necks, the Suicide Squad team has to rack their brains to get out of the situation.

The premise is similar to the previous Suicide Squad story, but Wit Studio's unique visual style will make this series an equally exciting viewing experience for fans. In the latest trailer for Suicide Squad Isekai, we introduce the Peacemaker version (Takehito Koyasu), a reckless vigilante who is determined to achieve peace by any violent means if necessary.

Unlike the live action version of the character played by John Cena, this Peacemaker does not realize that he needs to change his behavior to become a better person. He is prepared to do everything he can to succeed in his plan, even though it could disrupt the mission of the Suicide Squad team.

As is known, Suicide Squad became very famous thanks to the 2016 film directed by David Ayer. This film starring Jared Leto as the Joker and introducing Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn was a success, grossing more than $700 million worldwide.

Suicide Squad Isekai will expand the popularity of this team with Wit Studio providing their own interpretation of this iconic gang of antagonists. We'll see if this version of the Suicide Squad is able to save themselves, or if the upcoming anime series will end tragically for Harley Quinn, Peacemaker, and the rest of the team.
