Zico has announced legal action against malicious commenters. This is in line with the many negative comments flowing on social media. Many malicious commenters indiscriminately made malicious comments such as “turn yourself in (to the police),” connecting Zico to the Goo Hara case, which was recently re-investigated through SBS' 'Unanswered Question' broadcast on June 22, 2024.

On June 24, 2024, the agency KOZ Entertainment said, “We recently confirmed that malicious posts and comments, including defamation, insults, and spreading false information, have been made indiscriminately in various online communities and social media regarding our artist Zico .”

“In particular, the spread of malicious rumors and false facts, which are clearly unrelated to the artist, has become more serious than we can tolerate, and we have decided that firm legal action against them is urgent.” “Therefore, we collected posts and comments from various online communities and social media and filed complaints with investigative agencies.

We plan to continue collecting malicious posts and filing complaints regularly in the future.” They added, “In addition, we would like to state clearly that the rumors that have emerged recently regarding the artist are also untrue, and we will also respond firmly to them.”

“To protect the rights and interests of our artists, we will continue to take firm action against malicious post creators based on reports from fans and evidence collected through our own monitoring, and we will hold them accountable to the end, even if this takes time.

There is no leniency or agreement under any circumstances.” “Fan interest and reports are very helpful in taking legal action. If you encounter malicious posts or illegal cases related to artists, please actively report them to KOZ Entertainment's official legal response account (protect_koz@kozent.com). Thank You."
