Rain is officially confirmed to be starring in the Korean drama ' Bloodhounds ' season 2. Quoting from Soompi on Tuesday June 4, 2024, the actor will take over the role of the main antagonist or villain. Previously in the first season, this role was played by Park Sung Woong.
“Rain is in positive discussions for a second season of 'Bloodhounds,' but no decision has been made,” a Netflix representative said. Rain Company's agency also said the same thing, saying, "While it is true that Rain is currently reviewing the offer to star in 'Bloodhounds 2', there has been no final decision."
'Bloodhounds' is a series adapted from the webtoon 'Sanyanggaedeul' by Jung Chan. This drama tells the story of two young men who enter the world of loan sharks in pursuit of money and become trapped in a much darker network of forces.
In the first season, Woo Do Hwan plays Kim Gun Woo, a former boxer who enters the world of loan sharking to pay off his mother's debt, while Lee Sang Yi plays Hong Woo Jin, who ends up working with Kim Gun Woo. Rain is reportedly in talks for the role of Baek Jung, a tall, muscular former UFC fighter known as “The Emperor” in the ring.
However, he now runs an illegal premium boxing league, which can be accessed exclusively through paid membership. If Rain accepts the offer, this will mark one of his comebacks to the small screen after previously starring in 'Ghost Doctor' in 2022.
Currently, Rain is preparing to release his latest drama entitled 'Red Swan', in which he stars opposite actress Kim Ha Neul. Fans hope that Rain accepts the offer to star in 'Bloodhounds' season 2, because they want to see a different side of Rain when playing a villain or antagonist. Meanwhile, Rain is known as a versatile artist.
Apart from being active as an actor, Kim Tae Hee's husband is also known as a singer, songwriter, dancer and producer. His acting debut was in 2003 through the drama 'Sang Doo! Let's Go To School', Rain became known after becoming the main actor in the drama 'Full House' which made him a Hallyu star.
