Unpleasant news from the K-Pop world, specifically MIRAE, a boyband from South Korea, has been announced to have disbanded. The disbandment statement was delivered directly by DSP Media, the agency that oversees MIRAE via Weverse on Tuesday July 9, 2024.
Reported from Soompi on Tuesday July 9, 2024, DSP Media expressed gratitude for all the full support given by fans. It is known that MIRAE is fronted by seven members, namely Lee Jun Hyuk, to Song Dong Pyo.
"Hello, this is DSP Media. First of all, we sincerely thank all the fans who have loved and supported MIRAE. After much consideration and discussion, DSP Media and MIRAE members Lee Jun Hyuk, Lien, Yoo Dohyun, Khael, Son Dong Pyo, Park Si Young, and Jang Yu Bun have decided to end their group activities," DSP Media said in an official statement.
However, the agency leaked the fate of Son Dong Pyo who is confirmed to continue his career as a soloist under their auspices. Son Dong Pyo can also be said to have a pretty brilliant career. At the end of 2023, he appeared with Lee Sang Yeon, Kwanghee, and Kim Min Kyu on a variety show titled “ I Am Ground .”
The show premiered on January 23, 2024, on ENA and Channel A. DSP Media also expressed its gratitude and advised members to continue to provide support. “While group activities will soon end, Son Dong Pyo will continue individual activities under DSP Media.
Once again, we sincerely thank you for your great support for MIRAE. Please continue to show unwavering affection and warm encouragement for the members in their future endeavors. Thank you,” he continued. Lee Jun Hyuk and friends are known to have debuted in 2021 under DSP Media.
The boyband has previously released the albums “KILLA,” Splash,” “Marvelous,” “Ourturn,” and “Boys will be Boys.” Earlier this year, they released their Japanese debut song “RUNNING UP” before shifting focus to individual activities.
