Actress Jang Nara recently expressed her thoughts on divorce, in relation to her role in the latest Korean drama titled ' Good Partner '. This drama specifically highlights the lives of divorce lawyers at Daejung Law Firm, each of whom has their own principles and ways of resolving their clients' divorce cases.
Jang Nara plays Cha Eun Kyung, a divorce lawyer who has been working for 17 years. She is known for being firm and straightforward, and prioritizing efficiency in resolving cases. Director Kim Garam, who led the production of 'Good Partner', praised Jang Nara for being very skilled at getting into character.
"She (Jang Nara) is really intimidating and has an old-fashioned aura. That's an unflattering way to describe her, but she captivates everyone with her strong presence," the director was quoted as saying by Soompi on Thursday July 11, 2024.
She added, “She exudes incredible charisma, which enhances the ups and downs of her character. Watching Jang Nara in this drama will leave you mesmerized.” On the other hand, Jang Nara, who has been married for two years, admitted that she read the script with her husband at home. “Her strong recommendation influenced my choice.
She played a big part in it,” Jang Nara said. She continued, “When I see the sad and unfair stories depicted in dramas, I sometimes wonder, ‘ Why do people get married? ’ But then I come home after work and affectionately ask my husband, ‘ Are you home? ’, like that.”
Next, Jang Nara expressed her views on divorce after filming the drama 'Good Partner'. According to Jang Nara, it would be better to avoid divorce if the conditions allow, but now she understands that sometimes couples need to divorce if the relationship is beyond repair. "Life can bring strife, and some relationships are toxic. I see divorce as practical and should be an option available," he added.
When asked which lawyer she would hire if she were to get a divorce, Jang Nara replied, “I don’t necessarily want to meet Cha Eun Kyung’s character. But if I get a divorce, I want Cha Eun Kyung to handle my case.” Meanwhile, the drama 'Good Partner' will premiere on July 12, 2024, every Friday and Saturday at 22:00 KST.
