As a guest star on Halmyungsoo, GOT7's BamBam candidly revealed his ideal type for a life partner and his views on idols who are in a relationship. On episode 195 of Halmyungsoo, BamBam and Park Myung Soo, the show's owners, sit down together to make Dubai chocolate that is currently going viral in South Korea.
While the two of them make chocolate, BamBam and Park Myung Soo talk and discuss many things, including relationships. When Park Myung Soo asked that idols should date too, BamBam agreed. When asked if he was dating, BamBam replied, “No, I’m not dating,” ending with laughter.
Park Myung Soo also defended the idea of idols being able to start relationships, "I mean, you can fall in love because you're young. Is that a crime?" He added, “Fans might be disappointed, but as people go about their lives, these things happen. Shouldn’t fans understand that if they’re truly fans?”
BamBam also agreed and said, “I think most of our fans say the same thing, ‘Now that they’re getting older, we just hope they don’t end up with the wrong person’.” When asked about BamBam's ideal type, he said that he likes career women.
"In terms of personality, I think I like women who have careers," said BamBam. He likes someone who is good at work. BamBam, who is known to be good at housekeeping, has the desire to stay at home when he gets married. BamBam said, “I handle housework well. When I get married, I will stay at home.”
With high self-confidence, BamBam prefers to do housework and let his partner work. “They won’t be as good at taking care of the house as I am,” she added. When Park Myung Soo confirmed that BamBam prefers competent women, BamBam replied, “Yes, I like women who can take care of themselves.”
BamBam seems determined to become a househusband from what he said. Meanwhile, BamBam has just made a comeback by releasing his third mini album entitled "BAMESIS" on August 8, 2024. He described the title song 'LAST PARADE' as something that if listened to in the summer will make the atmosphere even hotter.
