The film 'Daredevil' is back on Trans TV Cinema. The film adapted from the Marvel comic will air on Friday August 23, 2024, at exactly 21.00 WIB. Released in 2003, 'Daredevil' is a film directed by Mark Steven Johnson. He has also directed the films 'Simon Birch' (1998), 'Ghost Rider' (2007) and 'When in Rome' (2010).
A number of top actors joined the film, such as Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Michael Clarke Duncan, Colin Farrell, and Jon Favreau. In this film, Ben and Jennifer met and eventually got married. 'Daredevil' grossed over $179 million, more than its $78 million production cost.
The film begins with the story of little Matt Murdock (Scott Terra) who went blind due to exposure to toxic chemicals. The incident occurred after Matt witnessed his father, Jack 'The Devil' Murdock (David Keith) extorting money for a local mafia named Fallon. However, this condition actually triggers Matt's other senses to become very sensitive.
These abilities increase dramatically to the point of superhuman, such as being agile and having sharp hearing. Years later, an adult Matt Murdock (Ben Affleck) works as a lawyer in Hell's Kitchen with his friend, Franklin Nelson aka Foggy (Jon Favreau). He uses his superpowers to fight crime on the streets of New York.
Matt Murdock acts by hiding his real identity and choosing to use the nickname Daredevil. However, Matt's actions as Daredevil are criticized by a journalist named Ben Urich (Joe Pantoliano). Urich releases a report about someone nicknamed The Kingpin who is suspected of controlling all crime in New York.
Kingpin's true identity is a man named Wilson Fisk (Michael Clarke Duncan), a brutal mobster who disguises himself as a respected figure among the public. Kingpin's cruelty was proven when he asked a hitman named Bullseye (Colin Farrell) to kill one of his men, Nikolas Natchios (Erick Avari). Nikolas was hunted by Kingpin because he wanted to leave his organization.
Nikolas then sought out Daredevil for help. His efforts were in vain until he finally died at the hands of Bullseye. Nikolas' death apparently has an impact on Matt Murdock's life. Because, Matt is dating Nikolas' daughter named Elektra Natchios (Jennifer Garner). Things get complicated when a clue points to Daredevil as the culprit behind Elektra's father's death.
She is determined to find Daredevil to get revenge. This situation creates a dilemma for Matt Murdock who has to defend himself by saying that he was not involved, but also has kept his identity as Daredevil a secret.
