Ahead of its premiere, JTBC's latest Korean drama titled ' Good Boy ' has provided a leak about the character played by actor Tae Won Suk. Carrying the action comedy genre, 'Good Boy' tells the unique journey of a group of medal-winning athletes who have their own difficulties in life. They are brought together through special recruitment as police officers.

These athletes come together to form the Olympics Avengers and use their abilities as athletes to fight crime.  'Good Boy' is the work of Sim Na Yeon, the director behind the successful dramas 'Beyond Evil', 'At Eighteen', and 'The Good Bad Mother', while the script was written by Lee Dae Il, who previously wrote 'Bring It On, Ghost', 'Life on Mars', and 'Chief of Staff'.

In this drama, Tae Won Suk plays Shin Jae Hong, the first South Korean to win a medal in the men's discus throw. In a preview photo released via Instagram @jtbcdrama, Shin Jae Hong is seen making history as the first South Korean athlete to win a bronze medal in a field that is usually less popular with the country.

Despite his impressive achievements, Shin Jae Hong applies for a special job as a police officer in the Special Violent Crimes Unit to support his family. In contrast to his strong physique and sturdy appearance, he is a man who prioritizes family and has a family man side .

In this drama, he will work with Yoon Dong Joo (played by Park Bo Gum) and Ji Han Na (played by Kim So Hyun) in the Violent Crimes Special Unit, where the three will show heartwarming chemistry. Tae Won Suk will once again show his solid acting skills by playing the role of a charismatic athlete.

Previously, the actor was known for his roles in 'Nobody Knows', 'Private Lives', 'Sisyphus: The Myth', 'Under The Queen's Umbrella', 'Bloodhounds', and many more. 'Good Boy' is his latest project after previously successfully starring in 'The Player 2: Master of Swindlers' this year. Meanwhile, the Korean drama 'Good Boy' is scheduled to premiere in the second half of 2024.
