Kim Go-eun's latest film titled Love in the Big City will soon be showing in all cinemas in Indonesia starting October 9, 2024. This film also stars the star of the Pachinko series, Noh Sang-hyun.
The announcement regarding the screening of Love in the Big City was announced directly by Feat Pictures as the local distributor via a tweet on X or Twitter on Thursday September 6, 2024. The news was also accompanied by a film poster featuring Kim Go-eun with Noh Sang-hyun or Steve Noh.
"Love is nothing to regret, live life to the fullest. Watch Kim Go-eun (Exhuma) & Steve Noh (Pachinko) in LOVE IN THE BIG CITY, only in cinemas starting October 9," wrote @FeatPictures. Kim Go-eun plays Jae-hee, a woman who feels she has an identity and a different view of the norms in South Korea.
She also feels that her personality makes her the subject of a lot of gossip. One day, Jae-hee meets a man named Heung-soo (Sang-hyun). She has something in common with him, namely feeling like a weirdo in the middle of Seoul city life. Unlike Jae-hee, Heung-soo tends to hide his true identity. A moment finally makes the secret revealed by Jae-hee.
They became close friends and agreed to live together as roommates. People then do not believe in their friendship. However, they continue to live their lives even though they sometimes feel alienated. On the other hand, Jae-hee and Heung-soo explore Seoul life as adults who want romance.
Love in the Big City is adapted from a novel of the same title by Park Sang-young. This film is produced by Lee Eon-hee as director. Her name is already well-known through several hit films, starting from, The Accidental Detective 2: In Action (2018), to The Killer's Shopping List (2022).
Love in the Big City is Kim Go-eun's latest project after starring in Exhuma. She has also starred in the films Canola (2016), Tune in for Love (2019), and Hero (2022). Meanwhile, Steve Noh is known for the series Pachinko (2022), the drama Curtain Call (2022), and Soundtrack #2 (2023).
