TWICE's Jeongyeon Had a Part-Time Job During Hiatus

TWICE's Jeongyeon recently shared the latest episode of her web variety show 'The Inspector'. In the latest episode, Jeongyeon invited variety star Kangnam to her home and spent time with the artist, who is also the husband of speed skater Lee Sang Hwa.

Quoting from Allkpop on Sunday September 1, 2024, in the latest episode of 'The Inspector' this time, Kangnam said that he owns a cafe. Hearing this, Jeongyeon was not only shocked, but she revealed that she had also worked at a cafe while on hiatus from TWICE group activities.

" I once worked part-time at a cafe ," said Jeongyeon. Kangnam responded with equal surprise, and praised the K-Pop idol's hard work. He then said, " Really? Wow, that's so cool. You really work hard. You do part-time jobs, go to school, and audition at the same time? "

When Jeongyeon confirmed this, Kangnam praised her again and suggested that the singer of 'Cheer Up' should just write a book. When asked if Jeongyeon still remembered how to make drinks at the cafe, the idol explained, " I've never told anyone this. However, when I had a panic attack, I was forced to go on hiatus. 

I then worked as a barista at my friend's cafe." Hearing Jeongyeon's explanation, Kangnam was shocked again because his idol chose to continue working during the hiatus, rather than staying at home. The variety star then wondered how much Jeongyeon's friend would pay per hour? Given her status as a member of the popular girl group TWICE. 

She joked that it was 60 million won (around Rp. 696 million) per hour and thought Jeongyeon's friend would go bankrupt if she paid that much. However, Jeongyeon assures Kangnam that she feels lucky that her friend let her work at his cafe. Kangnam is disappointed that he didn't open his cafe business earlier, if he had known that Jeongyeon had been a barista before.

Meanwhile, TWICE's Jeongyeon had stopped her activities from the group due to anxiety issues in 2020. She then returned to being active in June 2021. However, she had to go on hiatus again after 2 months of activities. In February 2022, Jeongyeon finally returned to being active in TWICE's group activities as before.
