Cube Entertainment released a new statement regarding the exclusive contract status of (G)I-DLE's Jeon Soyeon. This statement was released following their response two months ago regarding the rapper. The members got a solo stage to perform on their own, including their leader, Jeon Soyeon.

But surprisingly, Jeon Soyeon appeared with a rap that contained lyrics that their contract would end in November this year. Fans found the agency’s statement inconsistent because when Jeon Soyeon appeared, a video in the background read, “Contract ends in November 2024.”

Fans questioned the agency’s professionalism that the writing could be a concept on her VCR. Initially, Cube Entertainment said the lyrics were just part of a concert performance and were not related to the real situation. However, they released a statement confirming that Jeon Soyeon's exclusive contract will end in November 2024.

On Friday, October 25, 2024, Cube Entertainment responded to the news that Jeon Soyeon would not be renewing her contract. Usually, before a contract ends, an artist will have already taken care of renewing their contract several months in advance.

“We are currently discussing a contract renewal with Jeon Soyeon ,” Cube Entertainment said. "He will carry out future activities according to schedule," she said. Last August 2024, Jeon Soyeon made a response through her Instagram Story.

She felt that the solo performance she made was her sincerity in music. "Because words, if delivered in the wrong form, will be received with a different meaning. But this situation is a reminder of the company's inability to respond to such situations," Jeon Soyeon said.

"I will do my part so that we can grow together, hopefully the discomfort you feel can change. I will work hard so that you don't worry, NEVERLAND ((G)I-DLE's fan club). I always feel guilty, thank you, and love you," concluded Jeon Soyeon.
