Former One Direction member, Liam Payne, reportedly died after falling from the 3rd floor of the hotel where he was staying in Argentina for a week. According to police, this tragic incident occurred on Wednesday October 16, 2024 local time.
"Liam James Payne, composer and guitarist, former member of One Direction, died today after falling from a hotel in Palermo," a police officer said, as quoted by the Buenos Aires Times. Currently, the police are still investigating whether the death that occurred at the Casa Sur Hotel was an accident or a possible suicide.
Earlier, local police received a call from the hotel about a man behaving aggressively. It is suspected that the person was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Upon arrival at the scene, police found Liam Payne's body already lifeless. His death was immediately confirmed by the medical team handling the body on the spot.
Emergency services doctor Alberto Crescenti said there was no way medical teams could save Liam Payne's life. The reason is, the 31 year old man's body suffered very serious injuries. "He had very serious injuries, the cause of death, was a blow to the head," the doctor said. Liam Payne stayed in room number 10 on the 3rd floor and his body was found in the yard.
