Actor Ahn Hyo Seop is being eyed to star in a new mystery-crime drama. STARNEWS reports that Ahn Hyo Seop has been asked to star in the drama Night of Heaven (working title). The drama is directed by Yoon Jong Ho, who is known for his previous work, Lovely Runner.
"We have indeed offered Ahn Hyo Seop (a role) in the new drama by 'Lovely Runner' director Yoon Jong Ho, but no final decision has been made. It is currently in positive discussions," said SIMSTORY, the production company for the drama Night of Heaven.
Meanwhile, The Present Company, as Ahn Hyo Seop's agency, said that its artist had received the offer and was considering it. "Night of Heaven is one of the projects he has received an offer for," Ahn Hyo Seop's agency said, as reported by Soompi. The drama Night of Heaven is based on a novel of the same title.
This drama discusses a scandal involving the upper class and the world of nightlife. A chaebol heir is cursed to live a life of misfortune as an illegitimate child. He finds himself entangled with a star host at a secret club in the posh neighborhood of Cheongdam-dong. They protect each other from evil forces.
Ahn Hyo Seop was asked to play the character Cheon Gook, a former taekwondo athlete and host of a secret club called Si Bel Homme (which means handsome man in French). Cheon Gook is known for his tall and athletic body. He then plunges into the world of nightlife like his stepmother who leaves a huge debt and disappears with his late father's life insurance money.
