Sad news came from Ham Eun Jung. On November 27, 2024, the agency Mask Studio announced that the T-ara member's mother had passed away. When her mother passed away, Eun Jung happened to be abroad filming her latest project. Eun Jung reportedly rushed back to South Korea after hearing her mother's death.
The agency said in a statement, "Ham Eun Jung's mother has passed away. We express our sadness and regret." According to the agency, Eun Jung's late mother's funeral was held at the Seoul Asan Medical Center hall, and the funeral will be held on November 29, 2024.
The agency then asked for the public's attention and comfort over this sad news. Mask Studio's agency said in its closing statement, "We ask for your comfort and concern so that Ham Eun Jung and her grieving family can spend time together in mourning."
Before receiving this sad news, Eun Jung had made an Instagram Story post on the evening of November 26. The "Su-Ji and U-Ri" drama star reposted her agency's post announcing that she would be holding a birthday party in December.
On the other hand, Eun Jung's sad news comes amidst the issue of T-ara member bullying that has been brought up again to the public. On November 18, 2024, Hwayoung made a long post mentioning how she was bullied by T-ara members.
"CEO Kim Kwang Soo ignored the fact that I had become an outcast. I remember living in a dorm room without a room because everyone refused to be my roommate, and the T-ara bullying incident, including the many verbal abuses, criticisms, and assaults, remains my biggest wound," Hwayoung wrote.
However, Hwayoung is reluctant to question the bullying further and wants to move on. "I believe bullying is no different from murder in our society. My sister (Hyoyoung) and I don't want anything more," she said.
"We just want to put this incident behind us. I don't know why CEO Kim Kwang Soo brought this issue to the public's attention again. I just want to convey the truth to prevent further speculation and malicious comments," Hwayoung continued.
Hwayoung then said, "Even if it's for our sake, we will forgive and understand CEO Kim Kwang Soo and the T-ara members and live with more effort to recover from the wounds we received." Lastly, she revealed that she will take stronger legal action against the spread of false information and malicious comments.
