Ryu Seung-ryong is reportedly being eyed to star in a new drama titled Manager Kim . The drama is set in an office setting with Seung-ryong as the main character. The news came to light when several local media outlets reported that the actor had received an offer to star in the drama.
Seung-ryong's agency, PRAIN TPC, confirmed the news and stated that the actor is reviewing the offer. "Ryu Seung-ryong is reviewing a casting offer to play the lead role in Manager Kim, Mr. Kim," said PRAIN TPC, as reported by Newsen via Naver on October 31, 2024.
Manager Kim is a drama project adapted from the Webtoon of the same title by Jeong Jong-taek. The story centers on Mr. Kim, a former member of an elite unit who now serves as a company manager. He also plays a single father to his daughter named Minji. Kim lives a normal life as a manager and father.
However, her normal life changes when Kim finds out her child is missing. The clues she gets make Kim realize her child is in danger, even in danger of death. He then transforms into a trained ex-soldier who is merciless. Kim searches for clues that can lead him back to Minji.
Kim will save his only daughter by any means necessary, even if it means destroying everything and everyone in his path. Ryu Seung-ryong is being eyed to play Kim. However, there is no information yet on the actress who will play Minji.
