Jeon Soyeon, the leader of (G)I-DLE, recently shared her thoughts on marriage and her ideal type during an episode of the web series Yongtarot, hosted by comedian Lee Yong Jin. During the session, Jeon So Yeon inquired about her prospects for marriage.

When Lee Yong Jin noted that it seemed to be on her mind, she stated, “While I love my career, I’d like to settle down and have a family when the time is right.” Lee Yong Jin interpreted the tarot cards, suggesting that marriage is possible but emphasized that timing is crucial.

He mentioned, “It might be challenging before you turn 35, but likely before you hit 40.” He also observed Jeon So Yeon’s keen interest in starting a family, saying, “You seem really focused on marriage and having children.” She responded, “As much as I love what I do, having a family is something I want when the time comes.”

When asked about her ideal partner, Jeon So Yeon explained that she is looking for someone “not overly ambitious, but content with life and who values happiness.” She characterized her ideal type as “a simple, down-to-earth person—someone ordinary and likable, someone anyone would approve of.”

She clarified that by “not ambitious,” she meant someone who isn’t focused on chasing quick profits, such as through investments or passive income. Lee Yong Jin also asked Jeon So Yeon to name the most impressive guest she had encountered on Yongtarot.

She replied, “Everyone I’ve met is so impressive; it’s hard to pick just one,” and declined to choose a favorite. When Lee jokingly asked, “Does the person need to be able to make money?” Jeon So Yeon responded, “They don’t need money at all.”

Additionally, Jeon So Yeon expressed her desire to collaborate with K-pop icons G-Dragon from BIGBANG and Zico in the future, sharing her admiration for both artists. Earlier this year, she also made headlines by appearing on the web variety show Country Kitchen Dream. Jeon So Yeon revealed that her earnings from songwriting can reach up to 1 billion won per month.
