Lee Jang Woo has not starred in a new drama since "The Heavenly Idol" in 2023. The actor is apparently busy running a restaurant business. However, customers have recently criticized him by saying that the food at his restaurant is not delicious.

Jang Woo responded to the criticism when he guested on Jung Jun Ha 's YouTube show on December 27, 2024. In the video, the 1986-born actor talked about his restaurant that sells sundaeguk (blood sausage soup).

Jun Ha initially discussed the potential of Jang Woo's restaurant that could be developed if the business was expanded. "Honestly, I feel like your restaurant is too small to achieve great success," Jun Ha said, trying to give advice.

Jang Woo then responded, "Yes, but lately, I've realized that I shouldn't run a restaurant with the hope of achieving great success. What I should focus on is loyal, repeat customers. It's not good to only focus on profits."

After that, Jun Ha praised the taste of sundaeguk at Jang Woo's restaurant which he said was very delicious. "Putting aside everything else, I was really surprised when I went to your sundaeguk place.

This is real, I thought I would just say it was pretty good, but when I tasted the soup, I thought, 'This is crazy,'" Jun Ha praised. Jang Woo admitted that his restaurant business was flooded with enthusiasts when it first opened. However, customers have decreased.

"When it first opened, business was very good. But then, it started to decline because the taste changed," said Jang Woo. Jang Woo then explained the reason why the food in his restaurant tasted bad and eventually received criticism from customers.

"The taste changed because the staff had to work hard to keep the soup the same as when the restaurant first opened," he said. The "Graceful Family" star said, "We boiled 100 pig heads, removed the bones, and washed them all again. It became too difficult to manage, so the quality kept going down.

Even when I tasted it, I thought, 'This isn't good.'" Jang Woo also shared the contents of the criticism from customers. "Some comments came in saying, 'You've changed,' or 'Are you running a business like this because you're a celebrity?'," he said.

Jang Woo admitted that his restaurant has fixed the dishes that were criticized. "To that, I said, 'Okay, I admit it. I have to start from the beginning.' So, I made changes recently. The quality went down, but now it's back up," he concluded.
