NCT's Jaehyun began his mandatory military service in November 2024. After 6 grueling weeks in training camp, the idol born in 1997 participated in his basic military training completion ceremony. Jaehyun's ceremony after completing his basic training was apparently also attended by fans.
According to fans, the idol's mother was also there. His mother was seen helping Jaehyun put on his flag badge. Fans also took a series of photos when the singer of the song "2 Baddies" looked cool in a military uniform.
Jaehyun's latest portrait at the military camp has become a hot topic of conversation among South Korean netizens. Interestingly, many people are wrongly focused on the condition of the idol's eyebrows which look thick and make him look even more handsome, even without stage makeup.
There are also those who feel that Jaehyun's latest portrait is like a scene from a drama or movie. " Wow seriously handsome... his eyebrows are so thick [sic!] ," wrote one netizen. On the other hand, Jaehyun had written a long message for fans after being announced for his military service. "I have always walked at my own pace, and I am so grateful and love all of you who have always believed in me and walked by my side," he wrote.
Jaehyun also assured that he would return safely. "I will return healthy so I hope you all are well and healthy while I'm gone. I will continue to work hard while looking back on our memories and anticipating the future that will come. We are timeless," he concluded.
Meanwhile, Jaehyun had greeted the public through the film "You Will Die In 6 Hours" which was released about a month before the idol left for military service. The singer of the song "Make A Wish" is scheduled to finish his military service around May 2026.
