Song Joong Ki shared his happy experience about himself who is now a husband and father of two children. On Monday December 23, 2024, Song Joong Ki conducted an interview at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, to discuss his new film " Bogota: City of the Lost " directed by Kim Seong Je .
At that moment, Song Joong Ki for the first time finally showed off his beautiful baby photo to fellow reporters. As is known, Song Joong Ki announced his marriage to British actress Katy Louise Saunders in January last year. Five months later, in June, the couple welcomed their first child, a son, in Rome, Italy.
Then in July this year, Song Joong Ki shared the happy news of his wife's second pregnancy. And in November, the birth of their daughter was revealed, making Joong Ki a proud father of two children born just one year apart.
With a warm smile, Song Joong Ki said, “Do you want to see my baby picture?” while showing the reporters a picture of his daughter. He continued, “Having a child makes me feel more responsible.” When teased for wanting to show off his daughter, he laughed and said, “Honestly, I really want to brag about her. Is that too much?”
Reflecting on the moment when he first held his daughter, Song Joong Ki said, “I wasn’t sure what would feel different, but when I held her, she hugged me in a different way than my son. I will never forget that feeling. My baby is healthy and growing well, and my wife has also recovered well after giving birth.”
Song Joong Ki added that his wife, who is currently overseas, has yet to watch his latest film. The actor explained, “She plans to watch it later. Right now, I’m balancing promotions for ‘Bogota’ and filming the drama ‘My Youth.’ My wife is very supportive.”
Known for his dedication, Song Joong Ki also revealed that he learned Spanish for his role in "Bogota" and continues to use it in everyday conversations with his wife. It's not without reason that Song Joong Ki is desperately learning Spanish, but he also wants to be able to speak fluently with his children later, considering that his wife has Spanish blood.
"I often speak Spanish with my wife at home. The parents will understand, but there will come a time when our children speak Spanish better than I do. I don't want to be left behind, so I am committed to improving my Spanish (to be able to chat comfortably with my children)," concluded the 39-year-old actor.
