Song Joong Ki is currently busy promoting his latest film "Bogota: City of the Lost". The actor recently had an interview with local media. Interestingly, Joong Ki also shared details about his life as a father of two.
Joong Ki initially shared his happiness after having a daughter. The actor said, "I've become a very loving father. Let me show you." Joong Ki then showed his daughter's beautiful face to the reporter who interviewed him. Joong Ki was also asked if having a daughter gave him a different feeling.
He answered, "For those who raise children, you can probably feel it, but this happened, am I being too excessive? I just wanted to brag." Joong Ki revealed how it felt to hold a daughter, unlike his first son. "When my daughter was born and I held her, unlike my first child, who was a boy, she hugged me tightly.
I will never forget that feeling," he said. Joong Ki then revealed the current condition of his wife, Katy Louise Saunders and their daughter. "(The baby) is growing healthily, and my wife is currently recovering from giving birth.
My wife has not been able to see Bogota, but plans to see it later after she recovers," he said. After that, Joong Ki unexpectedly also gave a leak about the names of his two children. "With the presence of these babies, my sense of responsibility has grown.
Our two children have Korean and Spanish names because my wife and I have different nationalities," he revealed. Joong Ki emphasized that his two children are now growing up well despite having dual citizenship.
"They are growing up very well. They are very pretty. I may act silly, but I want them to live long and healthy lives," he continued. On the other hand, Joong Ki also discussed his experience starring in "Bogota: City of the Lost".
The actor discussed his reasons for agreeing to star in the film. "Director Kim Sung Je's ability to portray characters with incredible depth and density as seen in his film Minority Opinion, overlapped with my sense of challenge, which made me very curious about this project," he said.
Joong Ki also revealed that he learned Spanish and even improvised to make his performance more natural. "Guk Hee left Korea because there was no hope (for a better future)," he said. "He's just a kid who doesn't speak Korean and doesn't have enough money.
His father is irresponsible, and his mother is helpless. I think he must have developed a survival instinct, realizing that he needs to take care of his mother, his family, and himself. That's where I focused my acting," Joong Ki asserted.
