Song Joong Ki's Story of Being Scolded by His Spanish Wife, This is the Reason

Song Joong Ki talks about his married life with Katy Louise Saunders. Amidst the promotion of the film Bogota: City of the Lost, the actor appeared as a guest star on Choi Hwa Jung's YouTube show, which aired on Thursday December 26, 2024.

For the first time, Song Joong Ki revealed that he owns two houses located in South Korea and Italy. However, Song Joong Ki spends most of his time in Italy, where his wife grew up, when he is not working. "I live in Itaewon. I also have a house in Tuscany, a suburb of Rome, Italy. 

I live there with my wife. Since my wife has lived in Italy her whole life, we live there when I have nothing to do," said Song Joong Ki. After announcing his marriage to Katy Louise Saunders on Monday January 30, 2023, Song Joong Ki was blessed with a pair of boys and girls. Both of his children were born and raised in Rome.

As a result, Song Joong Ki tried to learn Italian considering that his first child could already speak. Meanwhile, his wife Katy Louise Saunders learned Korean to communicate with Song Joong Ki's parents. The 39-year-old actor praised his wife's ability to master Korean quickly. 

Although she made a mistake by using informal language when inviting Song Joong Ki's mother to eat. "My son started talking and saying things in Italian. And there were times when I didn't understand what he was saying. It was a bit stressful, so I learned Italian."

"On the other hand, my wife is learning Korean. Her language skills are amazing, she is learning very fast. She even says 'Uhmeoni (mother-in-law), let's eat' to my mom. It's not informal, but isn't she adorable?" he explained. Song Joong Ki was worried about talking too much about his wife. 

But he felt Katy Louise Saunders was worth bragging about. The father of two recalled a time when Katy Louise Saunders told him not to keep others waiting and to be polite. "I'm Korean but my wife values ​​manners and character more than I do, so I get scolded a lot. 

One time my manager wanted to ask me for something, so she came over. I made her wait for 20 minutes because I was somewhere else. She said, 'Who do you think you are to make someone wait?' So she really reminded me how to be a good person."
