Go Ara will soon greet the public through the drama "The Scandal of Chunhwa". On February 5, 2025, the actress and the cast of the TVING drama gathered for a press conference. They answered various questions about the drama.
On that occasion, Ara revealed the reason why "The Scandal of Chunhwa" needed to be rated for viewers aged 19 and above. "There are some parts that must include a love story, which is why this drama is rated 19+. In terms of content, it is necessary," she said.
Ara also revealed the reason why she agreed to make a drama comeback starring in "The Scandal of Chunhwa". "I decided to join this project because the script felt fresh and the message resonated with me," said the actress.
"The Scandal of Chunhwa" is a drama that tells the story of Princess Hwa Ri (Ara), who wants to find her own true love after her first love failed. She then gets involved with two men at once. The first is the most popular playboy in town, Hwan (Jang Ryul).
The second is the most popular groom, Jang Won (SF9's Chani). In a previous interview, Ara shared their honest thoughts on “The Scandal Of Chunhwa.” The actress revealed, “First and foremost, the drama depicts ‘life.’ From Episode 1 to 10, 2025, Princess Hwa Ri goes through various challenges.
There are many events that hit her like giant waves. So, there are many emotional scenes as well.” Ara continued, "Love also can't be left out. (The drama) is also like a 'rainbow' because it contains stories of various people.
There is the love story of our couple, and most of the characters also have their own love stories to share. I hope viewers will focus on that aspect." On the other hand, the press conference was also attended by Han Seung Yeon who plays Lee Ji Won.
She described her character as a beautiful and intelligent woman but careless in love, a lovable character. Seung Yeon also talked about her courage in the drama. Seung Yeon said, “Because of her image, some people might think, ‘Can Han Seung Yeon really do this?’
But honestly, I’ve become an adult since my debut.” The actress also discussed the revealing scenes she acted in. "While acting, I thought such scenes (of openness) naturally fit the narrative of the character's love story.
I had thorough discussions with the director and my co-stars to create them beautifully. I hope the audience will see them as part of the charm of the story," she said. Meanwhile, "The Scandal Of Chunhwa" will air starting February 6, 2025.
