Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, is ready to reveal the facts of a number of confessions by Kim Sae-ron's family that have sparked controversy for the actor recently. Gold Medalist said the statement is still being prepared and will be released next week.
The agency claims to be ready to respond to all the statements from the family of the late Kim Sae-ron. "Hello, this is Gold Medalist. We would like to comment on the recent Garosero Institute broadcast regarding Kim Soo-hyun," said Gold Medalist, as reported by Sports Donga on Thursday March 13, 2025.
"We will release a full statement next week to convey the correct false statements and counter the baseless rumors about Kim Soo-hyun," he continued. Gold Medalist also apologized for having to wait longer for the statement. According to the agency, the statement shared will provide details for each confession by Kim Sae-ron.
The agency assessed that the statement would be delivered in full at one time so that the agency would not have to continuously provide official statements. "We apologize for causing fatigue by waiting so long. Please understand as this is to avoid further release of statements," said Gold Medalist.
Garosero Research Institute previously posted several videos on YouTube containing the family's confession regarding Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron's relationship, which was said to be the cause of the actress's death on February 16, 2025.
According to Kim Sae-ron's aunt's confession, Kim Soo-hyun had been in a relationship with her niece for six years since she was 15 years old. However, when Kim Sae-ron's drunk driving (DUI) controversy emerged in May 2022, Kim Soo-hyun ended their relationship and sued Kim Sae-ron for damages.
Kim Sae-ron's aunt said that initially the company tried to get her niece to pay a fine of 20 billion won. However, after going through a long calculation, the agency's request for compensation was changed to 700 million won.
The controversy became even more heated when Dispatch revealed the complete chronology of the conflict between Kim Sae-ron and Gold Medalist which also involved Kim Soo-hyun. Evidence regarding Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun's romantic relationship also circulated, such as photos of them allegedly dating and love letters from Kim Soo-hyun to Kim Sae-ron.
