Kim Soo Hyun's face  has begun to be removed from a number of brand advertisements following the controversy that recently dragged the actor into it. Kim Soo Hyun when he was 27 years old in 2015 was reported to be dating Kim Sae-ron who was 15 years old.

In addition, Kim Soo Hyun through the agency he founded, Gold Medalist, was also suspected of blackmailing and threatening Kim Sae-ron to pay compensation for the project. Chosun Biz reported on Wednesday March 12, 2025 that one of the South Korean airlines removed the Kim Soo Hyun advertisement that they once had.

Kim Soo Hyun himself has been involved as a Jeju Air brand ambassador since 2015. "We have blocked all (access) videos of artists who appeared as commercial stars in the past, including Kim Soo Hyun, since the Muan Air incident in January 2025," said a Jeju Air representative.

"The absence of the ad is unrelated to the actor's recent controversy," they stressed. Kim Soo Hyun also worked as a model for various brands, including Homeplus, Shinhan Bank, Tous Les Jours, Dinto, Eider, Cuckoo, Prada, Joe Malone, and Shabu All Day.

Eider removed the advertisements featuring Kim Soo Hyun on its official website and social media. Shabu All Day has also removed all photos of Kim Soo Hyun on their social media. Homeplus also removed Kim Soo Hyun's photo from the app screen.

However, Yonhap news agency reported that the brands have not confirmed any changes related to the contract with the Queen of Tears actor. However, CJ Foodville's Tous Les Jours has decided not to renew the contract with Kim Soo Hyun and will end in March 2025.

Kim Soo Hyun was appointed as a model for Tous Les Jours from 2012 to 2015. He was finally appointed as a model again in September 2024. However, the latest controversy that dragged him into made CJ Foodville not renew the actor's contract.

Meanwhile, beauty brand Dinto said, "All planned schedules related to the model have been postponed." However, CEO Dinto said, "I will trust and wait first," adding, "I will focus on what I can do and what I have to do rather than being affected by uncertainty."
