BTS's Jin gave a surprise performance at Coldplay's "Music of the Spheres World Tour" concert held at the Goyang Sports Complex, South Korea, on Saturday, April 19, 2025. In Coldplay's concert, there is a songbook segment that allows the audience to go up on stage to sing a song of their choice.

It was during this segment that Jin surprisingly went up on stage. The audience immediately cheered when they saw Jin's presence. The 32-year-old K-Pop idol sang the song "The Astronaut" with Coldplay's vocalist, Chris Martin.

"The Astronaut" itself is Jin's single that was released in October 2022. Chris Martin also took part in the production process of the song. He is known to have participated in writing the lyrics and composition.

During the concert, Jin then revealed his relationship with Coldplay. He said that Coldplay was the first concert he watched after and before he left the military. "My last concert before I went to the military two years ago was a Coldplay concert.

And my first concert after returning from the military was also a Coldplay concert," said Jin, quoted by Chosun Biz, on Monday, April 21, 2025. Not only "The Astronaut," Jin and Chris Martin also performed the song 'My Universe', a collaboration between Coldplay and BTS.

After the performance, Jin shared a photo of the concert on his personal social media to express his happiness. He also greeted Chris Martin in Korean. "Happy," Jin wrote in the caption of his upload, complete with a heart emoji.

As is known, Jin once participated as a guest at the Coldplay concert held at the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in October 2022. After 2 years and 6 months, the two finally met again to share the microphone on stage.
