Junho has officially left the agency JYP Entertainment which has housed him for 17 years. He is now ready to continue his career independently with a new agency that he founded himself. According to the plan, Junho will soon make a comeback through his acting skills.

After "King the Land", Junho was cast in the tvN drama "Typhoon Company" and the Netflix series, "Cashero". The two projects are scheduled to premiere in the second half of this year. For "Typhoon Company" will feature Junho as a CEO who tries to save his late father's small business during the 1997 IMF financial crisis.

Meanwhile, Cashero tells the story of a civil servant character played by Junho who has super powers. In addition to his acting comeback, Junho is also preparing to launch his new agency. Currently, preparations are still ongoing and the agency is predicted to be introduced to the public in May 2025.

Junho reportedly also teamed up with Yang Hye Young for his new agency. Yang Hye Young is known for her role in leading marketing planning in CJ ENM's brand strategy division and also worked in CJ ENM's performance division.

Yang Hye Young is also considered a key figure behind visionary projects that change the paradigm in pop culture. Last March, it was revealed that Junho would not be renewing his contract with JYP when it expires on April 15.

JYP accepted the decision and appreciated Junho's figure who has been with the group for 17 years since debuting with 2PM in 2008. "Since his debut in 2008 as a member of 2PM, Lee Junho has devoted himself wholeheartedly to his singing and acting careers, achieving great success in each field.

Based on deep mutual trust, we have renewed our contract several times and shared the artist's glorious seasons together," JYP said. "We sincerely thank Lee Junho for accompanying us on our journey and contributing to the company's growth for the past 17 years."

Junho also spoke up about his decision. He admitted that he would continue to respect his good relationship with JYP. "I will cherish the connections I have built and the encouragement I have received as I move forward," he said. On the other hand, Junho will continue to work together for his career in Japan with JYP.

It is possible that Junho and JYP will still collaborate on other projects in the future. Junho previously expressed his hope that 2PM would stay. Although there is a possibility that some members will not renew their contracts with JYP, Junho is confident that their relationship will remain solid.

"We believe 2PM should last forever," Junho said. "Because of that, the six of us have a very good relationship. Even if some members don't renew their contracts, we are talking about continuing to be 2PM members. We don't think it will be difficult to promote in the future."
